Si ricomincia!? Il PlayerZone ritorna in pista e ritorna a far numeri!
La macchina organizzatrice si è messa nuovamente in moto e sta finendo di oliare alcune componenti, dopo giorni di briefing e momenti di puro brain-storming, la Direzione Sportiva composta da PLZ-RobyMarty (alias Roberto Martorana), PLZ-Cr45h (alias Lorenzo Dal Rio) rientrati appieno per l’occasione e il Presidente del Playerzone PLZ-Benia (alias Beniamino Izzo) hanno indetto per giorno 14 dicembre alle ore 21.00 il PLZ-RODD Memorial Alberto Reda "Albyrider", amico e pilota del PLZ.

Da voci di corridoio ci è giunta notizia che la DS, a quanto pare, sta terminando di elaborare il regolamento dell'evento che verrà pubblicato a breve. Poche le novità introdotte, ma tanto divertimento contraddistingue questa manifestazione. Dalla presentazione dell’evento ad oggi più di 30 sono le adesioni confermate, nomi illustri del passato e del presente tutti appartenuti al mondo dei simulatori di guida.

Piattaforma utilizzata per la gara non poteva essere altro che il cavallo di battaglia del Playerzone Team, ovvero “Live for Speed”, in versione demo per dare a tutti i partecipanti, soprattutto ai nuovi, la possibilità di presenziare all’evento. La manifestazione prevede 30 giri sul glorioso circuito di Blackwood a bordo della famigerata XFG. Le qualifiche che si chiuderanno il 13 dicembre alle ore 23.59 sono già partite e i partecipanti si stanno dando battaglia a suon di millesimi.

Visto l’elevato numero di iscrizioni, la DS ha predisposto 4 pool denominate GT1, GT2, GT3 e GT4 ognuna con 10 partecipanti; l’ordine di partenza sarà dettato a fine qualifiche.... [continua>]

A Presiedere le gare ci saranno un commentatore che in diretta streaming racconterà la gara, e un Direttore di Gara che avrà il compito di verificare il corretto svolgimento della stessa e nel caso di problematiche anche l’onere/onore di pilotare la Safety Car. È previsto per ogni pool un giro d’onore dietro la Safety Car per ricordare Alberto Reda, un amico oltreché pilota ufficiale Playerzone che si è contraddistinto sia fuori che dentro la pista, condividendo la sua passione per i motori, scomparso prematuramente  nel 2013.

Si preannuncia uno spettacolo memorabile che ha sempre contraddistinto il Playerzone Team nell’organizzazione dei suoi eventi. Si prevede un afflusso numeroso di pubblico per il 14 dicembre che permetterà a questa manifestazione di entrare a pieno titolo nell’albo delle glorie del Playerzone. è un emozione davvero grande quella di ritornare dopo ben otto anni nel Playerzone Team, re-incontrare vecchi e buoni amici con cui ho passato ben 4 anni a creare quello che oggi è una realtà riconosciuta a livello globale. Rivivere momenti di amicizia, di spensieratezza e di divertimento fuori e dentro la pista, cancella tutto il tempo trascorso lontano da questo simulatore e da questo meraviglioso gruppo. La creazione del PLZ-Rodd è la dimostrazione di quanto ho appena dichiarato e che nulla finisce, nulla è perduto, ma tutto continua.

Let’s start again !! Playerzone Team is back on track! The PLZ organisation is stretching his legs again, removing all the months and years of dust sitting under the hood, greasing all the necessary mechanisms in order to race again !
After a few briefings and brainstorming, Sports Directors PLZ-RobyMarty (aka Roberto Martorana) and PLZ-Cr45h (aka Lorenzo Dal Rio), back at the headquarters of Playerzone Team with the Chairman PLZ-Benia (aka Beniamino Izzo), announce for the 14th of December 2015 at 21:00 the PLZ-Rodd Memorial Alberto “Albyrider” Reda, friend and former PLZ driver.

Rumors said that DS is prepping up the race rules, soon to be published. There aren’t too many news, as the focus here is to relax and enjoy what seems to be an amasing night.

Since the first post about the event, we can count as much as 30 drivers attending the event, a lot of great and well known names from the past of PLZ but also new-comers, old guard and official drivers are going to be there. The sim used will be the old-but-famous Live for Speed, on his Demo version to accomplish everyone’s requirements, and we’re going to see a 30 laps race driven across the famous corners of Blackwood, with the everlasting XFG.
Qualify ends on the 13th of December at 23:59 and all the participants are already setting up their cars trying to beat each-others even for a few thousandth of second. Due to the restrictions of the Demo version, DS is thinking to split the drivers across 4 pools (GT1 to GT4), of 10 drivers each. The lineup is based on qualify times.

To preside over the race we’ll have a commentator that will also stream live on Youtube, as well as Safety Car should anything bad happen during the race.
For each of the pools, there’s going to be a honour lap for our fellow driver and friend Alberto Reda, former official driver of the PLZ-Team well known on the communities who suddenly passed away on 2013.

The show will be huge, in proper PLZ style, so stay tuned for more information and news.

I’m very excited to be back after 8 years on the Playerzone Team, say hi to a lot of people and friends I had the pleasure to meet during my 4 years at the team, some of them which helped creating what PLZ-Team is today. This actually seems like yesterday when I was here working/playing/laughing with them and PLZ-Rodd is the exact proof that nothing has an end, nothing is lost, but everything goes on.
