Round 5 - Drivers' Briefing & Race Discussion

Hello drivers, welcome to round 5 of the Winter Trophy 2012!
This is the final round of the season, at the long and complex Kyoto Grand Touring Circuit with the most powerful car in LFS the BMW Sauber F1. We have very interesting points battles going on as we head into this race. H. Wong, M. Bartolotta, A. Cravotto, M. Moro and G. Rotello have a good chance for winning the Trophy. Even if H. Wong remains the favorite, he is not completely out of danger. Who will win the first season of Winter Trophy?
We have a number of things to discuss before the racing gets underway, so have a look at the categories below:
1. Rule changes
There has been one rule change since Round 4. It is fully explained here. Please read!
2. Start Procedure
The start and restart procedures are unchanged from Round 4. Please remember to use careful in first corner an giving reasonable space in order to account for lag.
3. Penalties
Post-race penalties may be given in the form of time penalties, points penalties, or grid position penalties. Post-race time penalties will be as follows:
DT: 15s
SG: 30s
4. Server Problems
On race day will be declared the most stable server to perform the event. As always there will be a replacement server ready to play the race

- REMINDERS:
- From 18.30 CET of race day the server will be available only for registered drivers. The drivers that has not confirmed will be admitted only as spectators.
- Confirmation period expire at 20:30 CET of race day. The drivers that has not confirmed within that time will not be allowed to race. They will be admitted only as spectators.
- CHAT IS NOT ALLOWED DURING QUALIFYING AND FROM THE GREEN LIGHT ON RACE. CHAT IS ALLOWED ONLY FROM "CHAT OPEN" MESSAGE
- When rejoining the track following an accident, please be sure to check for following cars BEFORE pulling onto the racing surface. If you find yourself stationary on the racing line following a spin, don't make any move until you have some clear space on track. If you've spun and are still moving, be careful where you throw your momentum. Use the mini-map!
- When you see yellow flags during the race, be prepared to slow to avoid obstacles. Even if you don't see yellow flags, be alert for cars significantly off the pace.
- During race, Shift+P and Shift+S should be used if a car is flipped or stuck into grass. Also with a DT penalty for speeding in pitlane should be served whithin the following 3 laps. This is no mandatory in this competition and will not result a penalty but is a sportmanship conduct
